From Color Blind by Diana Gardin
I studied my schedule as I walked into the hallway, hoisting my messenger back up over my shoulder. I looked up, and that’s when I saw her.
You know in books, when they say stupid stuff like “When I saw her, my heart skipped a beat”? Well…I didn’t think that stuff was so stupid anymore.
This girl walked right into my path, and it didn’t even feel like a normal girl was standing there. It felt like I was looking at this ethereal being…she was otherworldly. She did crazy things to my body, and my heart literally did skip a beat.
Who was she? She was obviously a student here. She was wearing a book bag, and she was carrying a pair of dance shoes. My eyes traveled up her perfect body to stare at her face, and her beautiful chocolate brown eyes met mine. I almost stumbled. The power of those eyes…they had the ability to see right through me. That scared me, because there was a lot I didn’t want people to see. Especially someone as perfect as her.
I had to talk to her.
